As with every year, the BBC has spent the last week drip-feeding us results as to their much coveted ‘Sound of 2017’ list.. Won last year by Jack Garratt
So far we’d seen a lot of people’s favorite Rag ‘n’ Bone Man take second place, while RAYE took the bronze medal. Here at Sonnet, we’re pretty chuffed to see South-London soul artist RAY BLK take home the top prize.
We’ve been following her work a lot this year.. Tipped by many as the Lauren Hill of the UK. High praise for an artist barely out of her twenties, but one thing is certain. RAY is the embodiment of where music is at in the UK right now. Soulful, forward-thinking and challenging.
Bravo RAY BLK
