This weekend saw Jess Clemmons invited down to BBC Radio 2 to join Fern Britton for the Faith In The World week beauty special, where she not only spoke about her own take on beauty, but delivered ‘wonderful’ renditions of True Colors, How Can It be and the band’s own Beautiful. A free download of Beautiful is currently at available at the band’s official website.

To finish the weekend, Jess & The Bandits attended the British Country Music Awards and were thrilled to be awarded the Best Group and Best Entertainer Awards, as well as performing a stunning stripped back set. The double win adds to the quintet’s British Country Music Awards, having won the Best Music Video for My Name Is Trouble last year.

Joining Jess & The Bandits as double winners are our very own The Southern Companion, who stole the show at Saturday night’s songwriter showcase. Named both the BCMA Horizon Act and taking the much-deserved title of Album of the Year for their sophomore release, 1000 Days of Rain.

Our good friends Luke & Mel achieved the double for their single Bad Habit, which won not only Best Song but also Best Video – which we are certain was assisted by our very own Jeremy Williams-Chalmers’ cameo in the video!

Huge congrats also go to our good friends Holloway Road, Laura Oakes, Phil Vassar and Gary Quinn for their awards.

We thoroughly all the performances on the evening and can’t wait for next year. For those that missed it, a full rundown of winners below – while you can enjoy our special BCMA playlist on Spotify.
