10 Days in Victoria Park

Festival season may have ended but there’s some exciting news to help us bear the gap. All Points East is taking over Victoria Park next year for a huge 10-day music festival.

With the South London trio, The XX confirmed as the first headline act, who’ll play the main stage on Saturday May 26. Quite a coup for the festival, with the band having a record breaking year, selling out a seven-day stint at the Brixton Academy.

Further acts have been confirmed, including the masters of melancholy The National who will play on June 2nd alongside 2 other standalone headline acts to blissfully close the ten-day festival.  In addition to The National, come a array of styles and genres, with the rockers The War On Drugs, Synth-Poppers Future Islands, sparky shoegazers Warpaint, and garage rockers The Districts.

No more has been revealed as of now, with the details being safely guarded but nevertheless we expect a euphoric and bliss festival from All Points East, who’ve previously worked on the acclaimed British Summer Time gig. The promise has been made of the best ever sound quality to encompass Victoria Park next summer.

Victoria has become somewhat of a staple for outdoor musical festivities. The last 40 years has seen the park host events ranging from anti-facism and anti-racism, with recent examples such as Lovebox, Citadel and Field Day maintaining the parks rich history with great music. Midweek dates of the festival will consist of a wider range of activities to attract all ages, with comedy, literary and family events, local street-food markets and film screenings. Quite the package.

All Points East will be held at Victoria Park from May 25 – June 3 2018. Tickets for ‘All Points East’ will go on sale from www.allpointsfestival.com from 9amFriday October 27th
